Searching & Filtering

List screens first appear showing only the "Open" data.   you could still have dozens or even hundreds of rows display.   Finding the info you need is not difficult because you can search and/or filter the data.

  • Search box in the upper right of the list
  • Search box at the top of each (most) columns.

However,  the Search at the top looks through ALL the columns - even the ones that are hidden - to find matches.   The box at the top of the column only looks in that column.

And you can use BOTH at the same time !

List Filter

Some of the List screens will have a Species filter at the top,  allowing you to quickly see just one (or several) Species.

Click on a Species to see rows for just one.

Press CTRL Key and Click another to add another Species to the list.

Click the first option "All Species"  to return the list to normal.

Column Filter

When a column has "fixed"  values,  like   'Yes/No'   (Y/N)  or  'Private/Generic'  (P/G)  the filter is an option you select instead of typing.   This filters the column.  There is a blank so you can "unfilter"  the column.
