Step #8 : How do I get a Tag# ?

When the animals arrive at your plant you probably make a tag to place on the carcass after slaughter.  Our system is the same - it creates a unique number for EACH animal on the Order.  And you can print them onto waterproof labels.

You can make Tags for as many Orders as you want,  regardless of species.

This number will be used all the way to billing and looks like this  :        

From Anywhere

 To make Tags follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Orders  > Open Orders
  2. Find the Order (there may only the one you ust made).   Click on the checkbox.
  3. Click the green button that shows a count and a Tag.
  4. You will see a screen showing a line for each animal.
  5. Click the blue "Make Tags" button.
  6. Print the Kill Sheet(s)
  7. Print the Labels

From the Dashboard

You can also make Tags from the Dashboard and save a few steps.

  1. Click on the "Tags & Kill Sheets"  button under "To do" area.
  2. Follow from Step #4 above where you can press "Make Tags"

Print Kill Sheets

After Tags are created you can print Kill Sheets.

So instead of using your Cut Sheet for slaughter,  you get a form specifically created for the Kill Floor.

Each Order generates one Kill Sheet showing :

  • A Tag number for each animal
  • If you entered Ear Tags,  they show.  If not, a space to write them down.
  • If you entered the Breed and Sex they will show.
  • If Organs are to be saved they will be displayed.
