#8 Storage

The Storage module helps you keep track of product both before and after processing.

Depending on which Items and Options have been selected,  you may be adding Storage information several different times during processing of a single Tag:

  • Organs have been saved
  • Standard Cuts are finished
  • Secondary processing (curing, smoking  etc.) has been done

You already write down this information on your paper form.  By entering this data in the computer,  you get the benefits of :

  • Printing the storage information on the Invoice
  • Knowing how long the packages have been in storage, in case you require XX  hours before pickup.
  • A report showing how much weight is in the freezer at any one time.

You can setup your system to either require (or not) that Storage be entered before being able to make an Invoice.  If you use Storage,  the system will print the location of the packages on the Invoice to make Pickup that much easier.

You can access the Storage screen several ways:

  • From the Tag list,  click the data in "ST" column
  • From the Tag list at the end of the row dropdown,  click Storage icon.
  • On the Cut Sheet Entry Form using the Storage icon.
  • Using the scanner on the Cutters Sheet.
