Schedule an Animal (Create Order)

Do I have to use Orders ?

In a word,  yes.    It is a small amount of work with a huge benefit.   It takes less time than writing the information and we have tried to make it a simple task.  Order allows the system to do so much for you :

  • Adjusts the number of available animals you can Kill on that day.
  • Provides a way to automate customer communication (emails, texts)
  • Shows you how many pounds you will be cutting.
  • You can enter (or copy) cut sheets in advance of drop off
  • Easily move the date if needed.
  • Track who cancels/changes their scheduled date & number of animals.

 

Where do I go to create an Order ?

At any time during the day a Producer may call to schedule an animal.  So we have a few different places you can go to make a new Order.

  • The Calendar > Available
  • The Dashboard  (big button "Schedule an Animal")
  • The Navigation Bar   Order >  New Order  (one for each species)

 

Make an Order from the calendar

These are the basic steps to create an Order from the Calendar:

  1. Navigate to Calendar --> Available.
  2. Find the date for slaughter.
  3. Click on the Species image (cow, hog etc.)
  4. Select a Producer.
  5. Select # of animals.
  6. Save  the Order.

You can use the Navigation Bar to make an Order by clicking the Inbox icon dropdown arrow
