Split a Tag#
When you need to split an animal, the system doesn't need to use a new Tag#. Instead it uses the existing Tag# and does this:
- Changes the sides from "AB" to "A"
- Creates a new Tag# with side "B"
- Changes the icon for BOTH to show "half" an animal
- Allows you to enter Items & Options for BOTH.
- On the "A" Tag, Hang Weight "B" goes to 0 and vice-versa.
- If the default weight is still in place, it is divided in half.
- You can reverse a split Tag.
A few factors determine whether you split a Tag (or not).
- Each Species can be setup to allow splitting.
- You cannot split a "Grouped" Tag
- You cannot split a Packaged Tag
To split a Tag
- Navigate to Tags > Open Tags
- Find the Tag # (search in column or list)
- Click the dropdown at the end of the row
- Click the half circle icon
- Verify you want to split the Tag into Sides A & B
After the split, the list shows 2 rows, with an icon indicating "Half".
